Maila Nurmi (December 11, 1922 – January 10, 2008) was a Finnish-American actress and model and the creator of the Tv Horror Host in the form of the wasp waisted Vampira. Vampira became the hottest new thing in Hollywood for a short time before she was blacklisted and disregarded. Despite this, Vampira has become an ongoing icon for many sub cultures and to anyone that won't conform to the norm.
